Semi-Automatic: Easy to Learn, Hard to Forget
The Yamaha Grizzly is semi-automatic — which means no complicated gear changes, no clutch to worry about, and no steep learning curve. You squeeze the throttle, and the bike responds. That simplicity is intentional.
Our riders range from complete beginners to experienced off-roaders, and the semi-automatic transmission means everyone gets up to speed quickly. After just 10–15 minutes of on-site training, most first-timers are confidently riding across the dunes.
350cc Power — Matched to the Terrain
350cc hits the sweet spot for sand riding. It's enough power to climb steep dunes and reach exhilarating speeds on the flat beach sections, but manageable enough that our guides can keep groups together and riding safely.
Larger displacement bikes would be harder to control in soft sand; smaller bikes would struggle with the inclines. The 350cc Grizzly is purpose-built for exactly this kind of terrain.
2WD and 4WD Modes
The Grizzly can switch between 2WD and 4WD modes depending on conditions. On harder-packed sand or beach sections, 2WD provides better speed and manoeuvrability. When the sand gets soft or steep, 4WD kicks in to prevent bogging and keep riders moving.
