What Ages Are Allowed to Ride, and at What Speeds?

Quad biking is a thrilling outdoor activity, but safety is always our number one priority. We allow riders aged 16 years and older, provided they meet the minimum height requirement of 130cm. For safety and legal reasons, we do not allow doubling — each participant must ride their own bike.

Our Safari Tour accommodates riders of all ability levels through a speed group system. Slower, more relaxed groups ride at a comfortable walking pace; confident riders can reach up to 40 km/h on open beach sections. Our guides assess each rider's comfort level before the ride begins and allocate groups accordingly, so no-one is overwhelmed or held back.

What Is the Safari Tour Experience?

We offer one signature experience — the Safari Tour. It's a fully guided, 60-minute adventure departing from our base camp on the dunes at Stockton Bight.

Riders aged 16+ are welcome. You'll ride through a mix of dune landscapes and along the beach, with a stop at the beachfront for photos before a slightly more energetic return leg. Guides adjust the pace based on group ability throughout the ride.

For more detail on what the tour covers, see our complete Safari Tour guide.

What Training Is Provided?

No prior experience? No problem. Quad Bike King provides comprehensive training to all riders before any tour begins. Our bikes are semi-automatic, easy to control, and specifically chosen for sand riding. Your adventure starts with:

  • A safety video and mandatory briefing
  • On-site training on how to start, stop, steer, and control your quad bike
  • A chance to ask questions and get comfortable before heading into the dunes

Our experienced guides will assess your confidence and place you into an appropriate speed group, ensuring you're never overwhelmed — and never held back. We maintain a maximum 6-to-1 rider-to-guide ratio to keep the experience personal and safe.

What Is the Cancellation and Late Attendance Policy?

To ensure fairness and operational efficiency, Quad Bike King has a clear cancellation policy:

  • Full refunds are available if you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled tour.
  • No refunds for cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, no-shows, or reduced group numbers without proper notice.
  • You may reschedule your booking for a $25 per person fee if you give at least 24 hours' notice.
  • No cancellations or rescheduling are permitted on public holidays.
  • If you arrive late, we will try to place you in a later session if space allows — but no refund is guaranteed.

Quad Bike King operates in all weather conditions, including rain and wind. We provide waterproof gear where needed, and cancellations due to weather are not accepted unless we determine it is unsafe to proceed.
